First day back in school!!! WOO HOO!!! :P

anywho!!! I am looking forward to this semester!!! Just have to drag myself out of bed and I am raring to go!!
Had a slight attitude problemt this morning. Don't have a clue what it was about though. Just cranky, I guess. :(

update

Hi there!!!

I just thought i would update this again. I am working at Inpatient Rehab here in town. I am working PRN at the moment. I have also been orientated to both Medical and Surgical floors at the hospital. So, that means basically 3 different places in the same hospital. I am cutting back to just one class in the fall. And, then I hope to start going to Pratt Online to finish my RN, then Ft. Hays Online to get my BSN. I will probably do more school after this, but this is the immediate goals.

Wish me luck. :P

Seems lately all I do is chase my tail and have little spare time to "play" on the computer. I'm 6 short months from my LPN and enjoying school greatly. I'll be back someday... maybe... well I know I have one post I'm looking very forward to making... watch this space... July 12, 2009 is closer than you think...

friendships by the way side

My second best friend and I haven't talked for almost a full year....it will be a year sometime in Jan or Feb of next year.

I guess in a way, I can't really blame her because I did miss her wedding. But, I did try to make it there. My car just broke down. I even got into a fight with my wife that day.

But, I guess it was unforgivable. *shrug*

Anyway, I was talking with my wife about how she is going to be pinching our kids cheeks when they are like 30. It reminded me that my friend was pregnant and I don't know how her baby or pregnancy was.

*shrug*

Onto better topics!!! My wife is SOOOOO adorable. One of our cats has little white toe socks on her front toes. My wife thinks they are the cutest things. She just ohs and ahs and tries to pet the cats feet. It is so cute. :)

Hi everyone!!!

I have been so busy lately. I need to check to see what my grades were. I need to get K-State to send my transcripts from this semester over to MATC. I need to cheer the missus up.

She had a nasty fall and it really scared her. Speaking of which, I need to go down and sit at the SRS office all day someday SOON. They haven't told us anything since like February. I need their latest denial letter so that I can find a lawyer and get the lawyer to get a medical card for my wife. She should have had one YEARS ago. Her case worker has it out for her for some reason. She has the same case worker as her mom, and now her mom can't get a hold of her for the stuff her mom needs.

Anyway, that is our government at its best. :(

Guess I will leave this at that and go get some voting done. :)

Where is the time going?!?

Hi everyone!!! Long time no post!!! I just wanted to run a quick update on what has been happening.
I work full time and go to school full time. I am taking a break and POSTING!!!!
I have a test that is due on Tuesday. I have homework due on Friday. I am taking tomorrow OFF, from school. *cackle*
I don't have school on Thursday. But, I need to fix a car door this Thursday. I think it will wait until Friday afternoon. :)
Spend more time snuggling with my wife tomorrow. :)

I got updates on my site done. I think I am momentarily done with the Harley pages. I am going to add some more links to the links pages. :)
I am also involved in a web competition. I think that I am doing pretty good though. :)
I also have a new webring. It is a zodiac webring. :)

I think that is all the stuff of note so far. :)

It has been a while....

I don't believe how long it has been since I have posted anything. The holiday season just seemed to keep on piling up. :)

Christmas was great. I got a Harley Davidson!!! WOO HOO!!! It is about 8 inches tall. One of those Remote Control ones. Even had it out once. It runs great. My steering isn't be best, but it does run and turn with a little bit of work. :)

What else did I get. My wife got a toolbox!!! For me, to get my tools out of her drawers. :P

The missus is feeling worse and worse. She can't eat a lot of the things that she wants to eat. Her stomach is bothering her more and more. :(

SRS has denied her request for a Medical Card. So, I am reapplying for it. I am also thinking about calling some lawyers to help her case. She was approved for SSI which should have automatically approved her for SRS.

I think that is about the most that has been happening with me. :)

Let it snow!!!

It's SNOWING!!! Christmas is going to have snow this year. I was starting to worry. I mean it is November and this is our FIRST snow of the year. And, we live in KANSAS!!! A first snow this late in the year is like uncalled for. I am not sure what to think about it. :)

Oh well, have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!! And, a VERY Merry Christmas!!!! :P

I wonder what to do now....

I just got some pics of the squirrels hanging off of our bird feeders. They are adorable. The missus is seeing if any of them are even worth using. :)

Went through the meme's for today. Most aren't updated, and the others, I just don't feel like answering. *chuckle*

I am so energetic aren't I???

I am watching the cats play "blanket monster". This usually happens when the missus is still under the covers and the cats get into our room. They attack anything that moves under the covers. Also, the only time that the cats will bite her. Lucky her. Well, the missus is out of bed, but I haven't folded the sheets yet. One of the cats climbed under the sheet and the others attacked it. So, now when one gets out, I toss the sheet over another one. I am having great fun and the cats seem to be enjoying it. Of course the one that gets covered either stops moving or gets out from under the sheet ask quick as possible. When they stop moving, the other cats pat the bump trying to get her to move again. :)
The really fun one is when our "2 ton" cat is the "monster" because he actually plays back. :)

Day from hell and beyond...

Yesterday was the worst day that I have had in quite a long time. It started out with me being, as my wife calls it, a bulldog. She wasn't feeling well and instead of me being here for her. I wanted to go to Amy's wedding. So, we fought about this. And, the fact that Marli had a bad feeling about the whole affair. I end up not going. Turns out that this is for the best because my car was acting up. But, I thought I got it straightened out. Turns out that it just didn't have enough power to keep doing what it was doing. So, afterdark, my roommate takes my car to work because I needed to put some gas into hers. She made it to work, barely. I went and jumped it and drove it most of the way home without any lights on. Talk about fun. Pushed it for about 1/2 mile when I saw a nice ossifer of the law. So, I got it off of the road real quick. And, walked the car the rest of the way home. Now, I am going to go take the alternator off and go get a new one. :)

Luckily, the alternator looks like it was put on before they put all the pulleys on one line. So this should go alot easier than changing the roomies alternator. I know the battery would be if I had to change that. *cackle*

A complete waste of time...

I called last month sometime and asked when St. Francis was going to have their next seminar about gastric bypass. It is the first step in a long stream of steps to getting it done out here. Anyway, they told me that it was on the second Tuesday of each month. Which I thought was kind of wierd because the first lady I talked to said it was on the second SATURDAY of each month. The lady said it was on August 10th. My wife pointed out to me that the last one was on July 10th. So, we went out and bought a fridge, and had it arranged to be delivered on Wednesday MORNING. The guy that sold it to us said, "No problem". We go to Topeka for the seminar, which wasn't today. It is this Saturday. You know the second Saturday in August. :)
We get home and have a message from the people delivering the fridge. They told us it is between 2 and 6 PM. I will be at work. This is why we made sure that it would be delivered in the morning. Tomorrow, we need to be by the phone so that we can make an appointment for Thursday morning. Which is the morning after my wife has her sleep study. I am going to be so TIRED. :)
I don't believe people. We schedule our lives around what others tell us, and it turns out that they misinformed us so now we have to smash our schedules even more to compensate!!!

State surveyors are nice, but they mess up your whole day. :P

As some of you may know, and most of you probably have never given it a thought, Kansas, as well as most states, has state regulated nursing homes. Actually they come in and check EVERY nursing home and hospital in the state. Private, non-profit, and state owned are all checked out. They do this check up once a year. A surprise inspection. :)
Well, most people freak out about this. Usually I could care less because I don't change the way I do things. I just bounce right along. Maybe I will take a little bit more time to do things because I won't use short cuts. This time it was different. I actually adopted some bad habits. But, that was mainly because I was asked to do twice the work that anyone else does. Now, I am still doing twice the work that they ask anyone else does, but I can't take any of my short cuts. Kind of sucks. :)

Anyway, I am still not freaking out. Maybe a little bit more stressed, but definitely not freaking. There are too many people freaking as it is. Our new nurse, an RN with years of experience, was watched while she gave insulin. One of the easiest things that a nurse can ever be asked to do, and she was so nervous that she was shaking, VISIBLY. I was giggling hard. :)

Our Director Of Nursing was running around with eyes the size of saucers. *chuckle*

I love it when state comes in. :)
This year, however, my love is tainted. :P

I got to talk

I just wanted to know that I got to talk to Karin (sp?) tonight. She is a very sweet lady. Full of encouragement for me. Even though she doesn't really know me.

I just wanted to put a special note for her. Just to show her that we do care. :)

My own domain!!!

YOO HOO!!! The wife was looking to down grade on our server. She went over to the price lists, and found out if she UPgrades things would cost less. I guess this price list has been in effect since January. The company that she went through was bought out in January and failed to inform any of the old customers about the new pricing. So they have been gouging us right and left ever since. My wife sent them an email saying that she would like the cheaper prices and all the back that she should have been told about. They basically told her that she would have to move to another server within their system. She decided that if we are going to move we are moving off of their servers and on to one that the original owner suggested. I can't wait to read her letter to the current server hosts. :)

Anyway, as long as we were moving, she told me to get my stuff off of her site. (just kidding)
She asked if I wanted my own domain and I said sure. And, Rebels Rants was created. :)

Hi all! Insane Faery invading Rebel's little space here, he asked me to move everything over to Movable Type while he was at work so I've been busy moving things!!
